Résumé
Les missions chrétiennes furent introduites dans la région fortement is- lamisée du Koyadougou dans la dernière décennie avant l’indépendance de la Côte d’Ivoire. Cette implantation tardive contraste avec les autres centres urbains dans cette partie du nord du pays où elles existaient depuis 1904. La mission protestante fut créée en 1952 tandis celle des catholiques fut fondée en 1958. Si la société Koya fut réfractaire à l’évangélisation de celles-ci, en revanche, elle fut fascinée par les autres activités missionnaires annexes, no- tamment la scolarisation et les soins médicaux.

Abstract
The Christian missions were introduced into the strongly Islamized region of Koyadugu in the last decade before the independence of Côte d’Ivoire. This late settlement contrasts with the other urban centers in this part of the north of the country where they existed since 1904. The Protestant mission was created in 1952 while the Catholic one was founded in 1958. If the Koya society was resistant to the evangelization of those On the other hand, she was fascinated by other ancillary missionary activities, including schooling and medical care.
